University Daily Kansan

I was one of the print issue designers for The University of Kansas's basketball section. One of my tasks was to create the posters within that section. These made their debut during the '22-'23 season, as well as '23-'24.

When the opposing team walks out, the entire 4,000-person student section holds up the insulting graphic to show that we’d rather read the newspaper than watch them. Then, when the Jayhawks’ starting lineup is announced, it’s torn up and thrown in the air to raise our spirits moments before tip-off, and the expected first basket.

Journalism Capstone Project

My final project in the Journalism School at the University of Kansas was developing a website with a team of nine others.

Our site, Rock Chalk Brand Ops serves as a hub to connect talented students with brands in order to make NIL (name, image and likeness) deals.

We put an emphasis on showcasing various talents and telling the stories of those looking to grow by marketing themselves. Below is an in depth look at my contributions toward Rock Chalk Brand Ops

The Bigs

The Bigs are a band based in Lawrence, KS consisting of drummer Nick Peterson, singer and bassist Jack Yampolsky, lead guitarist Sam Weintraub, and myself as rhythm guitarist and keyboardist. This band is a fun project for us to express ourselves, gain experience playing live music, learn to grow as a team, and also try marketing a brand for ourselves.

I've used the Bigs to gain experience creating graphics, t-shirts, flyers, Instagram posts, and posters. Below are some examples of those pieces of media.
